Default OT Audi R8 and Porsche C2S on Top Gear BBC America

Did anyone catch the episode last night when Richard test drove the Audi R8 with Hammond later joining in with the 911C2S? In the straight line quarter mile the C2S just beat out the R8, it wasn't quite fair that they compared the all wheel drive R8 with the rear wheel drive C2S especially when the Stig spun the back around on the C2S during a lap around their course.

Yeah, I saw that too. Also not fair is the extra load that the R8 had to haul with Jeremy on board, versus the light and wispy Hammond in the C2S haha! Still, the whole thing made for some mighty fine TV.

Yes, but they put a GT3 (Stig) and and R8 (Sabine) on a track, and the GT3 smoked the R8. Clarkson, had to kiss Stigs helmet. There is a link to the YT video in one of these threads but I can't remember which thread it was.

I remember this episode, but <pedant mode on> Driving the R8 was Jeremy Clarkson and driving the 911 was Richard Hammond <pedant mode off>

Jeremy is the tall one with bad hair and teeth and Richard is the short one with good teeth and "boyband" hair.

Love that show. And that was a good episode. But I am a bit tired of car/boats.

I saw it. Great episode.

I love the part where Hammond came out behind Clarkson with the Porsche in a huge powerslide.

I know... someone on here has that little clip in their signature, but I can't recall who it is. I didn't know where it was from until I saw that episode.

I think the stig drove the 911 earlier when the track was a little more wet, they did not show much of the track when they showed the 911 clip. That being said, the 911 was only 2 thenths off. The r8 has the awd to pull through some of those wet areas. The r8 is a cool car, but the curb wieght is appalling. The 997 is much lighter and it is too heavy, just my opinion.
