I'm gonna guess Gemballa. The only thing they did right for the 993 IMHO. Very nice.

Glad you like the wheels and pics!

Father of 3 is correct - they're 18” Roock RS550.

They've been long discontinued and thus really hard to find. I couldn't believe that after 2 years of searching weekly they finally popped up.

The suspension is already 'done' - its ROW hight (Bilstein + M030 + Sway bars)... The only downside is that fronts are: 9” x 18” ET 50 (as opposed to the 8.5") and thus limits how low the car can go. It's probably as low as it can go without having to roll the fenders.

According to Eric's bathroom scale, the fronts weigh approx 27lbs (~12.27kg) and the rears approx 29.5lbs (~13.4kg)

Easiest way to tell quickly is that Roocks have 4 bolts between spokes vs Gemballas which have 3, and Gemballas disguise the valve as one of the bolts...which is a bit of a PIA if you don't have a 8mm (?) driver handy. Also I'm not sure if Roocks are 3 piece wheels but the Gemballas are just 2 piece wheels so not truly modular

Hey, Russ....are you ever going to install those wheels or are you just waiting until they become collectors items?!?! If not, sell them to me...I'll find something to install those on! You've been sitting on those for quite a while!

They look great Dennis! Any difference in handling or rubbing issues now that you had a chance to toss the car around a bit?

Cheers,

Mike

I saw those for sale...so bummed the offset wasn't right for the NB, or I would be the one posting pics...I too have been looking for over a year...affordable Gemballa (like jumbo shrimp or Bush intelligence) or Roock for NB...so sexxy.

David - We've hijacked this thread well....
Hey! It's only been about 10 months of wheel ownership...
Didn't you notice the signature change?
Tires are actually supposed to be delivered tomorrow (just after a huge late winter snowstorm in St. Louis).
Then all I need is a re-registered car to put them onto...
