Audio installer in Dallas?
#2
I can't help with an installer, but I can suggest some equipment.
Speakers: I love my Oz Audio Matrix Elite speakers, try to find the older version, not the current version. Lots of Rennlisters like Focal speakers. The high end lines are very nice, but priced likewise.
recommend Boston Acoustics, Hertz and Polk Audio as well. You really need to listen to speakers yourself to decide what sounds good to you. personally, I like smooth highs, so silk domed tweeters sound better to me than titanium.
Amps: Highly recomment Lunar Amplifiers. They are handmade in the US in Louisiana. incredible quality, and power. No fancy gimmicky stuff, just a well made amplifier. Tru Technologies are also handmade in the US. Other than those 2 you are looking at mass produced overseas stuff.
good luck!

Guys,
Thanks for the suggestions, but I've got the head unit _
I know it may not be the best, but I love the way it looks and think it sounds prettty darn good for a stock unit. I also bought a set of Focal speaks and an Audison amp from Audio Innovations plus all the install kit so there will be little or no cutting. I just need someone professional to do the install.

Have you thought about doing it yourself? if there is no cutting, it is pretty much running cables and connecting them up. Personally, I don't think anyone will be more careful with your car than you will be.
since you have a facory unit, the wires to the rear deck and doors are already done. most of the effort will be running RCA cables from the headunit to the amp, and speaker wires back to the headunit to connect back to the factory speaker wires.
I have heard that some of the Audison amps will fit under the passenger seat, so the longest run you might have are to the battery.
Since you already have interacted with Rod, I am sure he can give you tips and can answer any questions you might have, like where access points throught the firewall are, etc....
just a thought.

Kika,
That was my original intent, but work has me swamped and weekends I'm always on house projects.
PJ,
Thanks for the clue. Turns out Earmark in Addison got some good recommendations from the 964 board. I have to see if he'll install equipment bought elsewhere.
