Where are all the people writing checks for $40K+ cars that are 10 years old (minimally), and have "normal" miles? Using home equity lines? Cash? Conventional financing in this market/economy?
I've completely backed out of my looking for a 3rd one. Something may drop in my lap. But a car being for sale for months/years speaks loudly about where it is in the pecking order.

The good news, in a few years, it will still be the same way, & maybe in a few more year, they will be worth more.
I think a lot are for sale for a while, do to them being 10+ years old, it's hard to get a loan for it, even with perfect credit. The housing market has killed taking out equity loans, our house is worth the same it was 4 years ago! We remodeled the kitchen & upstairs bathroom, plus put on a new roof & paint.
