I recently had the M030/Bilstein HD w/sway bars done by Ruf on my 97 C2 but have hesitated posting pictures since everybody seems to be doing it. What the heck, here goes. Oh, I also put on a set of MY02 5-spoke wheels sourced from jimbo3 - thanks Jim.

Thanks for the post. I just bought a silver '95 C2 which is totally stock. The lowering w/new wheels make the car look a little lighter/less chunky not that there is anything wrong with the stock look IMHO. What is your opinion on the difference in handling/ride? You used the Porsche factory ROW M030 springs?

Matt - yes, the springs are ROW to get the car lower. I don't find the ride harsh at all. The original shocks must have been shot (although I didn't know it until I could compare them to the Bilsteins) because I can still feel every bump now, but they seem a lot more "muted" (damped?) and very "comfortable" - at least to me. The car feels more planted around the curves like on the proverbial rails. Sorry for the cliches, but I really like the new setup, but can't seem to describe my perceptions.

Thanks Mark. I drove by that station when I wasn't in the pcar, actually coming back from picking up the new wheels from jimbo3. When I went back 2 weeks later to take some pics, there was that pickup on jack stands and no wheels. I am in Texas after all.

Looks great Dan. Your Avatar pic is awesome.
I always enjoy seeing your car (in my rear view mirror). It is a perfect example of a 993, even more perfect now.
See ya.
