Default Best PC video game for the 993 ?

Just bought my new HP desktop and I am wanting a driving game to have some fun. Whats the best as far as the 993 is concerned?

I like the GTR game by SimBin. Its pretty much a good simulation game and not arcade like so many other titles out there. There's a GT2 993 that will make you wish you had another couple hundred horsepower in your real 993! I'd suggest going and getting a steering wheel. Joysticks etc. probably won't do it justice.

It's a real shame - NFS Porsche Unleashed was the best way to drive any virtual Porsche but it's pretty obsolete now. If you can pick up a copy on ebay for five bucks, do it though - it has a fun "driver's ed" bit where the German factory drivers pick on you and goad you into driving different test courses. You could get at least a couple of weekends out of it.

Easy to find cheats for it online which give you access to additional cars, such as the GT1.

I replayed that a few months back, and it was still fun. Especially building up a virtual collection with every model in it.

If you have an XBox360, check out Forza Motorsports 2. Very nice.

Another GTR2 aficionado here. Keeps my reflexes sharp and muscle memory honed in the off-season. You must get the wheel to fully experience it, IMO.

Live for Speed has a LOT of good cars. They are not name brand but based on actual cars.

For realism, nothing even comes close! You can AutoX, rally, road race, and online multiplayer is second to none. You really need a wheel (Logitech G25 is what I currently use)

I tried GTR2 and its physics are TERRIBLE! Looks pretty but thats about it!

Are any of these available for purchase and download online? I doubt local store will still carry these in stock.

What steering wheel would you recommend with GTR?

A while ago I was playing with need for speed Porsche edition this was also a go game. But it's probably outdated now.

Yes, GTR2 and LFS. Forza 2 for Xbox must be bought physically.
