How much is a mint 18,000 mile 97 C4S worth?

As you know I did exactly what you are considering doing. The problem I see is that Turbo you describe is probably worth 75 to 80 K and although your car is very nice,I don't think you will get that.If I were looking for one I would be all over your car.Does it have Full Leather?

My car has only the leather sport seats. The balance of the interior is vinyl.
Thanks for the thoughts.

Furthermore, at 75k, you will be comparing a decade old 993 with the arguable much more capable 997s cars, not to mention the corvette Z06, a year old viper, etc.
Thats a pretty tough space for a 280bhp, 11 year old used car.

For reference, this Guard Red C4S with 1524 miles sold for $67,100. It is practically brand new.

It was dry as a bone the last time my mechanic had it on a lift. I understand from the two previous owners that it was driven monthly unless the weather was too bad. I get it at least out monthly for at a minimum 50 mile drive.
IMO, I'd rather have to replace a few seals than spend the big money for a 60,000 mile overhaul.
I appreciate all of the feedback I am getting with this thread.
The more opinions the better! Keep 'em coming!
Thanks all.

Why do some of you think the engine seals dry out on lower mileage cars? I'm on my second low mileage 993 (10 years old with 10k miles) and the engine has never leaked a drop. I sold my 1995 993 when it was 9 years old with 11k miles and same thing.
I've looked at mid to high mileage cars that the engine was covered with oil.

That is my mechanics thoughts too.

these guys are typically top of the market.. but this car does not have the UGs yours does.. so this plus 10-20% would be top of the market IMVHO

Sorry if this constitutes hijacking the thread, just thought I'd ask since it came up.
