Hi all. Great posts Jamie.

I have modest collection compared to some on this board. Im luck to own about a dozen + different UT 993 1:18 amongst many other Porsche models (custom Pocher included).

Although the cheaper Burago 993 gets slated by most I believe its proportions are nearer the actual car than the UT version. The UT car is too long and too narrow (wrong proportion). I demonstrated this to a collector friend one day and compared the measured length of the model to the real car (using the manufacturers spec chart). The Burago is actually more acurate! It is a rough cast however. I had one stripped, sanded and rebuild and painted to matchmy car and it came out very nice indeed.....

My wife and I are godparents to three children and we give the Burago to them when they are young. They are a great cheap gift and get loved to death. Ive had to replace a few over the years as they have just got too worn. The record is no doors, wheels and most of the paint missing!

Macca is too humble... modest collection Pfft

and that's not all of them!

This is the only pic I have of his Pocher which doesn't do it justice

If I remember correctly RJT-JoAnne has a HUGE collection of all sorts of Porsche memorabilia? Am I right JoAnne?

If there were only a way to get them all to morph into real cars!

Me, too! Probably can't justify the cost to my wife. I just lost out on a UT version - not nearly as nice - on ebay to someone whose userid had C2S (?) in it.

I was watching that UT one, really had NO IDEA they were worth so much! Looks like some of my old Minichamps E30 M3's are going up to get a P-car!

Some of them are in the $400 range!

I believe NZ 9elven stated in his caption that the silver 993 is a Pocher. Those cost several hundreds of dollars.

We are taking our Built Polar Silver Pocher with engine detail kit to the LAX Memorabilia Meet to possibly sell to the best offer. If you are also interested let us know.

Is this the same as the one above? What is the scale? No to insult, what is the price range?

Yes it's the same as the one above. It is 1/8th Scale. A Cab on Ebay recently went for over 800.00! They seem to be worth as much as someone is willing to pay to have one.

Dam $800, that's to rich for me! That's a new set of tires!

I was more in the $2-300 range. WOW!

Why do the headlights look goofy? Or is it just the light?

It's just the light AND the angle
Can you see the dust too? It's been detailed since I took the pictures at our old place back in R Can Saw.

Like I said, Pocher = SEVERAL hundred dollars. Just wasn't sure how many. Kinda glad my car is Arctic Silver or I might be tempted. But they are the best and most detailed to my mind. I can't justify even $200 to myself for a UT model yet.
