Default Door Plugs

Anyone have a photo (or can someone take one) of a BumperPlugs door plug installed on a 993? I have a set of bumper plugs and wanted to get some of the door plugs. The photos online is of a 996 which has a different door handle.

I did a search, but couldn't find a photo.

Thanks!

I have these on the black cab and the GT3 ... and I like them. The '95 rivi blue cab does not have keyless entry. I have searched my bank of pics ... and none of them show the door handle close enough to see them.

I have a set and the driver side looks great. Unfortunately, I have a 97 with no key slot on the passenger side and therefore still have a black plastic dot, and an extra artic silver door-plug.

I didn't know they sell door plugs. Mine is missing from the drivers door. Do you have a link?

Thanks for the link. It states that it made for current model. Does anyone know how it fits in the 993?

Read my post above - they press into the key slot.
Apparently (and I learned this the hard way), in 97 (?) and above, there is no key slot on the passenger side.
Tom- if you only need one, I have an extra. PM if you have interest.

I suppose this is nitpicking but since the plug holds open the little door that normally keeps out dirt and moisture, is this necessarily a wise mod? Inquiring minds want to know.

They're great. Colour match is very good on my arctic.
Just make sure you order TWO. They don't automatically
get sold in pairs, so I ended up with only one. bastards.

edit: I havent confirmed if my passenger door factory (black)
pug is sitting atop a key slot ... couldnt get it off with my fingers.

You can get black ones from Porsche...about $0.88 last time I bought them. Black goes well since the gasket is black. I am not sure but I think the car shipped with them. BTW, some a**hole took the one that I had on my drivers door, they are easy to steal..

You can always use touch-up paint on a stock one to create your own "lock-plug". :-)

Cheers,

MIke

I thought the same, so I put a small amount of silicon sealant under it.
Be careful not to push that stuff into the lock.

I have a pair of Arctic Silver bumper plugs unused if anyone here needs. The door plugs are great, replacing the factory black plug in the door locks.

Thanks for the photo! I ordered mine. Got my bumper plugs a while ago and had to wait to install my keyless entry before I could get the door plugs.
