On ROW models, no air pump, nothing in the way, under the intake manifold there is nothing but the oil pressure-temp senders on ROW cars, sorry about that, did not know that the SAI pump was locateed there on US versions. I will post a picture soon of the ROW

However, if you are going to replace the oil sender seal, get the GREEN Viton seal!!!

hi axl911: would you have the part no. of this seal by any chance? thanks

I have never head of the references you are giving.
You know what? seeing from your address, why don't you order both? the 2 together are less than a dollar, so why take the risk?

is the idea to lose the small metal ring and only use the green viton seal, or use both?

why not just lower the engine? if you remove the two engine mount bolts, you can lower the engine with a floor jack several inches. that might create enough clearance.

The metal ring comes on the sender and cannot be removed here, no rubber here between sender and sender base.
the rubber comes between the sender base (stand) and the engine

just confused about the green ring. there's no access problem to the sensor, seems because mine is a my 1994.
