Default Wife's new 97 993 Targa

XMas present, awaiting Intercity to pick it up and deliver it.
Haven't seen it in person yet, a fellow Rennlister was a tremendous help in arranging PPI and everything else....could never have done it without him
Surprisingly, it took about a week of looking to find it, my shortest Porsche search yet.
Exclusive programme car (like the "Exclusive logo" on the dash trim), CF interior, 21K miles, one owner, paint to sample, Tiptronic (don't ask, especially after the "968 incident" https://rennlist.com/forums/968-forum/395223-adopted-my-wife-s-968-cab.html).
Already ordered Euro spec Tequipment interior cover and OEM Litronic kit from Sunset Imports, have a Becker TrafficPro en route. CoA from PCNA ordered.
Learned a tremendous amount from searching this forum, lots more to learn.
Pics are from dealer.

Congrats Lewis, very nice example of the last of the air cooled. I suppose the wifey just preferred a tip in memory of Larry

That is a beautiful Targa. Interesting color contrast between the light steering wheel and airbag and dark dash. Good luck.

Wow, very nice car. Congrats and enjoy.

Can't believe all the targas in the avatars still have the basket handles.

What kind of wheels are on the car?

Beautiful, Targa. I always loved the look of the Speedlines that Porsche put on the 993 Targas. Congratulations to you and, most importantly, your wife!

Sweet Targa 993!

IMHO, you should have got a 2008 Cayenne S.

The experts in this forum have said that all 993 Targas were delivered with the basket handle (only the early 95 993's had then and then they switched to the 3rd brake light mounted on the rear glass). FWIW, I like the basket handle.

Again, thanks to the forum members, the wheels were specific to the Targa, 17" 2 piece Speedlines, but I was told that you could order these on other 993's. Might be a bit of a PITA to keep clean, but whatever, they look nice.
