Default Nokia Amp is Toast - Anyone have one FS or advice on replacement

Hi Guys,

My amp is not working but I would like to keep my CDR-21.

I figure I have 2 options swap out the nokia amp (I have the hifi option) or install a aftermarket amp and come up with a wiring harness to go from the head units din arrangement to the RCA's on the new amp.

Would look at buying a nokia amp if someone is willing to ship to australia for me.

I've had my car for 2 weeks and no music is giving me the sh.ts.

Any advice or recommendations are appreciated.

Option number 3.

Get some medication from the drug store for your sh.ts and enjoy listening to the exhaust note.

if the amp is blown, break it apart and use the existing connectors to get your rca's live and earth then you can just plug in a std amp, doing it this way means that you only destroy the existing non functioning amp. and your car wiring harness is not mashed up.

I would recommend an aftermarket amp, it will be more efficient and better sounding.
Recommend Audison LRx series, Lunar, Tru Technologies, Macintosh and Alpine.

Default AMPS

I couldn't be happier with my Alpine ICE Amps. Incredibly compact, light and efficient. Perfect for the 993.

Default Nokia Amp

I would highly recommend you keep a Nokia. I replaced the CR-1 head in my with a CDR-220 and kept the original Hi-Fi amp. The sound is great! This link is a place that sells only removed second hand 993 parts. Give it a try.
