Flat spots on tires from winter storage...
Since this is my first winter with the car and I just put a new set of PS's on the car (could not wait until spring- not so smart of me) I was wondering if these flat spots that may develop will go away after driving a certain distance- or are they permanent?
I may not have easy access to the car in order to roll it back and forth.....

Simple tip........inflate tires to max.........stop at your local carpet store and buy some of their old 18" carpet samples (usually $2 a piece).......back the car up on 3 or so under ea. wheel.
You should be good til spring.

Definitely inflate the tires to at least 50psi. I used some of the rubber matting used in factories for machine operators who stand all day. It is about 1" thick and comes in 3'x3' squares-easily cut so that one piece will be all you need for all four tires. I got mine in Sams Club years ago. In years of winter storage in Maine I never had a flat spot with Pilot Sports and Pirelli tires.

Someone here had some issues with the steel belts having taken a set.
In six years of Porsche ownership, I've never had to worry about my tires flat-spotting in the winter. In the four months that the car sits, I might drive it once, maybe not.

I have never had a prob with permanent flat spots from storage. I do put 45-50 lbs in the tires, and whatever develops goes away when I drive them and get them warmed up.
