Default RS Question.....

I tired the search function, but it does not work well when search for "RS" or "993RS"

Q: is the RS build on a narrow or wide body 993. Looks like a narrow car w/big bolt on flares.....

Thanks...any thread sites would be welcome.

When you say "bolt-on flares", are you talking about the car pictured below? That car is a 993 GT2. The 993 RS does not have bolt-on flares and, as Dave says, is a narrow body car.

No Flares that is the GT2.

The RS is based on the 993 Body. Big spoiler pack/ Turnwald wing and spliter like the cup car. or a unique RS wing came standard, with a unique front spliter. Many other options make it one of the best and rarest porsche cars of all time. Just over 1,000 produced. A track weapon in its day, values have turned them into garage queens... At least mine..

Here is a couple of examples. Enjoy..... Mine is in silver, Decals are gone but no good picks...

Enjoy

jdistefa, nice shot of the black RS .......my old car, the shot was taken at Bruntingthorpe in UK,,,,funny looking through this thread, knowing most of the cars (particularly Gt2's) pictured and their owners,,,it makes it a fairly small world

Garage Queen? You must be kidding. Get out there and use it before you forget how good it is and decide to sell it! Anyway, what can you do with an even rarer 993RS Clubsport other than what it does best?

If one was to convert their NB to this... GT2.. Would a new (Wider Wheels) be required cutting of fenders, etc. etc. Seems MAShaw has a kit for $1,800 but I'm not sue how complete it is w/ Fenders and Side Skirts. I could increase my winter project budget and timeline.... Any info would be appreciated.
