I've seen this mod advertised on eBay for Boxsters and the 996 but have never seen it for the 993.

Do a search in the 993 forum for "drl" , believe the cars are prewired and one only needs to install a relay.
The fog lights will be your drl's.

in Canada the fogs on a 993 can be enabled to be always on and will pass as DRL's.
that's what I did.
Good luck.
If you have landed a new vehicle share some pics with us.

Hey Bill
What did you do to "enable" your fog lights.

Thanks Akerlie, any idea of a part # for this relay ?

My 1996 C4S came as a Canadian spec model and indeed does have the fog lights always on, acting as DRLs.

I have been meaning to install drl's on my car but haven't had the time yet.
Sorry for not being able to pinpoint the exact relay.

I am not very fond of the idea to install a after marked relay and wires if the car already is prewired.

Run a "jumper" from 5 to 3 on R31, no need for a relay as the low amp is comming from the ignition switch all ready.
