My original first choice in new wheels was the RS-GT until I luckily found a set of FM-10's on eBay for about half the cost of new ones. They are out there, but you have to be very patient. Mine were off a 996, but they had proper offsets for a 993.
Funny, I was going to send you a PM to see if you were interested in selling your Fiske. I think the Diamond Black look close enough to the polished Fiske without the extra maintenance in keeping them shiny.

My Fikses actually have a shiny anodized center and a polished rim. They don't require any special maintenance aside from a quick polish of the rim section maybe once a year.

Funny, every Porsche/sporty car event I go to, someone asks if they are for sale...I didn't realize how scarce they have become. But they really do pop up on eBay from time to time.

Here's a close up shot I took before I lowered the car. Note that the RS-GT's have a deeper dish, which most folks seem to like better, especially on the rear of a widebody (mine is a NB). Also, if you get some Hawk HPS brake pads or something similar, the wheels actually stay very clean.

I have a set of BBS RS GT's with silver centers that I would consider selling. Wheels are perfect.
Specs:
Fronts 8x18 ET52 on 245-40-18 Michelin Pilot Sports
Rears 10x18 ET65 on 295-30-18 Michelin Pilot Sports
Setup has around 5k on it and is perfect.
I can post some pictures if someone is interested.

Perfect offsets, but those tires will not fit well on my lowered NB. I'm a steering towards the Diamond Black finish as I agree with the responses that Diamond Black on white doesn't get any better! Not the best pic, but played around in photoshop. Still considering bright silver if the price is right.

Nice.
That finish would look even hotter on silver.

Here is the BBS RS-GT's on Polar Silver. Hope it helps with your decision. I just love them.

still looks great & i have diamond blks & love them on my 3xblk cab. not hard to keep clean imho. & i'll bet one could have a good parts maker tweak those caps to fit perfect.
al: jic make sure when you do get the wheels you get the silver bbs caps & not the gold (which seem to come w/ the wheels). a free option, but just in case...

I have had a search going for almost four years and rarely see them available for 993's and in an 18" fitment with the correct offsets. Usually, I see Fikses for Camaros, BMW's.

Rarer than the proverbial hen's teeth, they are.

Dave...the BBS's are a real beauty on your car. One of my favorite wheels on the 993.

Default Fikse vs. BBS

Love the photo's...

In the interest of keeping this thread alive, if you had to choose for a (my) NB 993 in Arctic Silver, what would you go for, and why?

1. Fikse FM-10, in anodized finish

2. BBS in the dark gray finish

Let the opinions be tabulated!

Fikses, all the way. Very expensive but can be cleaned with a pressure washer without fear of stripping nay paint.
