Default WTB BBS RS-GT

Well, it looks like I am giving up on my search for Fiske Fm10's and Speedline RS. The rarity, weight, owners more willing to sell their first born and cost are factors that have made the decision easier to move on to a newer and lighter wheel. So with that said, I am now looking to purchase BBS RS-GT's in bright silver. If anyone knows of any leads, please PM me. I was also considering going with 3 piece SSR's. Tire rack is having a close out special, but I prefer bright silver over Satin finish that is only available. I had the bright silver finish on my midnight blue C4 which IMHO looked great. However, with the white car I am looking for more of a race look to compliment the GT2 aero kit. I am considering the RS-GT's because they are light, have the correct offsets and resemble the BBS racing wheel, well not exactly, but it makes me feel better knowing they are half the price.

hey al _ yep, w/ the bbs wheels; actually lighter/stronger than the factory hollow spokes. wheel enhancement in l.a. is a great source. where i got mine... (no aff'l, yadda ya). the wheels are made in japan & can be ordered w/ des. finish. think if you have the shod w/ tires you'll come close to the rack's pricing too btw. imho... btw: silver will look great on your 993!

FPS, Thanks!
I was thinking bright silver with a highly polished lip. I will call Wheel Enhancement to discuss. Are these wheels limited to the BBS center caps? I would love to add the the wanna be center locks on these wheels. Ok, I obviously have too much time on my hands today. Time to pick up the leaves in the yard.

These are BBS - RSIIs on my new coupe. The PO attached these chrome rim protectors (which, believe it or not, cost the PO more than $500). I'm still not totally sold on these wheels yet on my car, but they do look much cooler with the center caps off (no pics of that yet as car is at Dougherty's as we speak getting a major overhaul).

I'm really not into chrome wheels and I'm trying to figure out if these chrome rim protectors can be removed; but, I still can't figure out how they are attached. I don't want to pop them off and find a bunch of adhesive stuck to the rims. The centercaps in the photo were actually moded by painting over the BBS emblem and bolting on Porsche emblems. Again, I like the look better with the centercaps off and the lugnuts exposed and I'd prefer to pull off the chrome rim protectors.

BBS would be my choice of wheel second to Speedlines. My preference would be satin finish like Glen has above (you car is really sharp Glen) and think they look the best without the centercap too.

Not sure if they are still there or your size but I think I saw the Fikse's in the Panorama for sale.

I was thinking that as well, but haven't seen them on a white 993. Might be a little to much bling for the look im going for. Not that I'm against bling, I just like the classic silver look of the BBS racing wheels like Alvin has on most of his collection. Yes, I know completely different wheel and price point. I would love to see some pics of black diamond on a white 993..anyone?

The BBS RS-GT are the only wheels I will consider as an alternative.

+1 on Diamond Black. IMO it would look better on a white car than just silver. I'd get the RS-GTs myself except that I am lazy about cleaning my wheels and am looking for a set of MY'02 5-spokes instead.

+2 on the Diamond Black RS-GT's on a white car. It doesn't get any better than that!

My original first choice in new wheels was the RS-GT until I luckily found a set of FM-10's on eBay for about half the cost of new ones. They are out there, but you have to be very patient. Mine were off a 996, but they had proper offsets for a 993.
