Glad that you're okay. Just remember that there are plenty of other nice 993s out there, in case it's a total.

There is a 993 that belongs to one of the owners of the place I get my tires. He had an insane individual commit suicide my jumping in front of his car ON THE INTERSTATE! The left front quarter, A pillar, winshield, roof, C pillar, and rear quarter were all damaged and had to be replaced. The good news was they did not total the car and today it looks like new. I saw pics of the car and the damage was MUCH more extensive than your car.
You will be driving it again!

I would not be so adamant on OEM replacement glass. I replaced my windshield with the OEM Sigla glass and it began to pit on the way home from the shop. The glass is much too soft. The glass in the Ford Focus will be crystal clear aftrer 90,000 miles.

Glad you were not hurt. That deer made a mess of the car!

I have several pits-only a few thousand miles after my windshiled was replaced.

Glad you are ok. No deer around here. But last weekend I was at Porsche Palooza (with chuck) and I got up before dawn on Sunday to catch a few of those roads before the church goers. As soon as I hit the road I realized that I had to take it easy for fear of the deer. I did and I didn't encounter any deer. Great drive too!

Thad,
Glad you are ok.
As someone else said, it's a testament to how well built these cars are. I've seen several people in the not-so-lucky category that had a buck or moose strike that tore the top of the car off.

I was out looking for land recently as well. Looks like we share taste in our "farm vehicles"
Now we need a couple of Porsche tractors.

Glad you're OK.

Given the impact I'm really surprised the airbags didn't activate

Default UPDATE: Red Sled to be fixed!

Got word yesterday, the insurance company authorized the repair.

The Red Sled got real close to where the insurance company was going to try to pull the plug. But it squeaked by.

The parts orders were supposed to go in yesterday.

I guess the first step will be to put it on a rack and pull the old roof back to form to make sure the associated assemblies are all where they are supposed to be before they cut the roof assembly off.

I'm going to go down and take a look at it once I hear they've got it on the rack. I'll take some pics, too.
