Cross-post: went looking for a farm today, and instead "found" a deer.

This is the first that I am seeing this thread.... what a bummer. The amount of damage is alot like my roof from the lift damage. I would be careful if the body shop is just cutting at the pillars and not replacing the Whole roof from the front cowel to the bottom edge of the rear window. Are you getting a New roof or one cut off an old car? My check from my insurance company was just over $16k.
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year, when my roof was ordered, it was the last one in Germany (and only with sunroof) till more are stamped... in about a year. They may set up and stamp a number of roofs once a year or so???
Hope you can get what you want without too much delay!!!!

Holy $HIT!!!! First time I'm seeing this thread. These are freakin' tough little cars. Great to hear, they are going to make your baby new again. BTW, they should repaint the entire car.
I bet that stupid buck is telling all his pals not to jump in front of 911's anymore.

Wow man, that must've been an interesting experience. Glad you're okay.
Gotta say, I'm a bit jealous. I've just priced out an RS roof a few days ago and they're not cheap. In a very twisted way, I wish I had your problem.
Are you going with RS roof or sunroof delete? As previously suggested, I would avoid OEM glass as its very soft and pits very quickly.

It may have already been mentioned, but if you are involved in a collision with an animal, MAKE SURE SAY THAT THE ANIMAL HIT YOU, NOT THAT YOU HIT THE ANIMAL.
This will prevent you from being at fault relative to your insurance and should not impact your rates or rates after future claims, at least in Washington State. We went through this with my better half with a really messy accident in her RAV4 out on the Olympic peninsula. Remember, insurance companies love to look at fault- why not make it the animal's?
