Looking for a High Miles and/or Low Price 993

I would argue that a $21K 993 will soon become a $30K 993 (unless as Jon mentioned above, it is solid but has a checkered past).
Save yourself some time and effort, I am selling a well sorted $26.5K 993
Good luck with the hunt!

Thats the whole point, I dont mind it becoming a 30K 993, the point is that I want to work on the engine, tear that sucker apart. It's more of a project for me. I am trying to learn more about these cars as I will want to work for Porsche after I graduate. I'll still consider your car though Mark. PM me with a phone number or email me some pictures and info. The sarcasm is funny, but I never said I wanted a perfectly well sorted 993 for 21K, I just said 993

My comments were not intended to be sarcastic. I am serious, I will keep my eye out for you.
I bought a well sorted, fresh top-end 85k mile cab in June for $26k and thought I got a good price. A few weeks later my buddy bought a very nice 95 coupe with 85k miles for $27k. So there are well-priced 993s out there!

Better move quick, it has a legit "feel" to it. Worth checking it out for sure.

Even if you would agree that a cab is worth 20% less than a coupe, all else equal, this could be a superb deal.

The $21k cars are out there. You just have to actively monitor the classifieds/craigslist/etc and do your homework on the true condition of the car.
When I was looking for my 993 last year, there was a '95 Adventure Green/Grey with 110k miles that the owner was selling for $21k. Had the car been any color except Adventure Green, I would have bought it.
Pricehub http://www.pricehub.com/price/Porsche/911 is also showing at least one 993 that recently sold for $21k (112k miles, cab, dealer sale). There's even a couple of 996's that are selling in the low $20's now

When I was shopping, a dealer near Beverly Hills was selling a beautiful '97 cab 6 spd. in Zenith blue with like 17K miles that sat for weeks and weeks at $42K, then $38K. I was dead set on a coupe, but I tried to lo-ball him at $34K only to find the car was finally sold. The same car as a coupe would have been snatched up in the $40K range in much less time.
