Default Performance Bug!

I wanted to do an exhaust/chip and was wondering what everyone thinks would be best. I see Fabspeed alot but what else is out there that would give me the best bang for my buck? I want to retain or repl the existing catalytic converters for emissions purposes, but I do want more noise! I can barely hear the car the way it is!! What is your opinions??

www.rennsportsystems.com for the chip. I just sold my '95 chip.

Try a search; you'll learn so much more about your car.

Good luck and have fun.

DACH 200 cell sport cat X-pipes......do a search. EPA and CARB certified
Can be custom made to either accept fangs(muffler delete pic 1) and/or mufflers, or non custom made to accept factory (or other) mufflers only (pic 2).
Not the cheapest alternative, but a very cool and LEGAL one. We also do cat bypass pipes (off road use only ) and modified factory muffs (DACH R's)

PM me if interested. I have one set of cats left (IIRC)

Hey Chris,

As part of a full disclosure and to be 100% fair, you might want to tell Shizznik that you are manufacturing these pipes and have a commercial interest in your post. I saw that you used the term "we", but for a new user, it might not be completely obvious.

I want these, but aren't they like $2500? Fabspeed has HFC's for $1200. I want to keep my stock mufflers as they are the "motorsound" ones, & just do the bypass pipe thing on them.

"Fangs"?!? Holy crap, that's gotta be loud!

Those fang's don't fit on the stock cats do they?

Aren't the Fabspeed cats the ones that cross each other (rather than mixing) and can be seen hanging down from behind?

Yes, they cross. It's the best way to keep the gas flowing w/o turbulence

Ok, are you saying they are better, or just much cheaper then what you have? Your setup looks like it has a nice X pipe & larger pipes.

Look at your factory cat setup and ask yourself how abrupt a "turn" things inside make

These are track tested, dyno'd and mother approved...............(okay maybe not that last one ). A search will yield all the info and dyno sheets.

STEALTH:
these aren't $2500, but they aren't cheap. They are a little more than the pipes that hang down, without the fangs, and a little more yet if you want the freedom of fangs and/or muffs.
And Bill V. is just simply not a fan of my stuff from an engineering standpoint. has never tried or tested it (so I'm not sure should answer "better" or not), but it doesn't follow typical wisdom, so.........
He and I have been over this enough.

MARK:

I hear ya, I figured the "we" and a search would pretty much lead one to believe that the pipes come from me, but in the effort of full disclosure:

These pipes are made by me and a friend (20+ years in the exhaust biz.) by hand and are done as a "hobby" business (for lack of a better term). PM me for further interest.

Here is the post that I found on the Dach x-pipe, I kind of like the results, to bad there are not more before/after dyno sheets of some of the other setups.

I'm getting a baseline down on the 993 this Saurday, it's nice to know the condition of the engine.
