Anybody have some spare Classic Grey carpet
Maybe you stripped out your interior for that "race-look"
Wanted: PASSENGER front floor carpet for a six speed 993 C2 1995 model year... NOT the floormat... but the actual carpet on the floorboard that would be under a floormat. Classic Grey color. Part number 993-551-022-004XR
I think 004XR is the color code for Classic Grey.
I'm posting this for a friend of mine-
Thanks-
Coleman.

one carpet...
Mine only has one carpet too. But the side carpets sort of slip under the main floor carpet. Some folks have a carpet 'mat' over the OEM carpet though.

The carpet is very expensive (~$200 each side) and has a vinyl heel pad. Part number is 993.551.021.00 and 993.551.022.00. The floormat is much simpler and cheaper and goes over the carpet. When it wears out, throw it away and get a new set for well under $100.
Unless a prior owner in his infinite wisdom thought they were the same and threw out the carpet and just put floormats there.

Thats what my previous owner did. I also need carpet in the footwells - but black. I've been hesitating to order the new stuff - but may have to soon.

Ok, I looked up that part # and now I get it. He wants the OEM carpet/mat piece for the passenger footwell. If this wears out, here are your choices:
1. Buy a new one from Porsche.
2. Simply toss it, and replace with an aftermarket floor mat (like Lloyds) since they're essentially identical in shape. ~$120 /pair.
3. Buy a mat from www.worlduph.com that's just like the OEM mat. World is top notch. $150/pair.
