?resistors for blower delete?

where does the box that the resistors are housed in come from?

Could be.

When I still have my by-pass pipe (like you do), I cut two holes to the pipe and installed the resistor and air temp (?) sensor (the narrow "stick") into it, never any problems and not even now when they're just tangling inside the engine compartment.
