Ruf Dallas has this CTR with deleted gutters. This was commonly done to the Ruf Vin cars, where they removed the roof anyway to install their inegral cage. Dang... I want this.

Ruf developed their own electronically-operated clutch system... I forget the name. It was not that popular of an item. I occasionally see one pop up on eBay for ~$2000.

<edit> EKS???? Is that the name of their clutch? Probably means Electronic Clutch System in German?

For a street car in the US, the car may be quieter but the top speed factor won't matter. For a race car, not having those metal aero fences would definitely aid in higher speed work.

Yeah, EKS. I've also seen that same one on eBay from time to time. From my understanding, It's missing a few key pieces that are not easy to come by. Still, with some patience and ingenuity, I'm sure you could get someone to build them for you.

All this is moot however, because the EKS is good if in proper working order in a car, but there really is zero appeal to adding it to an existing vehicle with a foot-actuated clutch. I suppose if you're disabled, it may be of some interest to you, but besides that....whatever.

Wow, here is another "I can't believe it has been that long". Seems like only maybe 6 months ago that I read the roof crush story. I hope that my year long AF remote tour away from my wife goes that fast.

Keep the pics coming. Work looks great. Still would have liked to lived vicariously through a non sunroof conversion

Love the rail delete. If I get around to a repaint on my '95 SY I'm going to have to get it done. Post more pics as you progresses!

Great recovery Mr Bock. What a great way to transform a disaster into an opportunity. It looks like you will end up with a better/nicer car and I am sure after 18 months you can't wait to see it back on the road...

Cheers

PS are you doing the rain gutter delete for aesthetic reasons or for a (hypothetical) performance improvement?
