Default New Roof being installed!!!!

It has been almost a year and a half since the incident on my lift that crushed in the roof aboy two inches. Now work has started an is moving along. After much head scratching as to how to approch this task, Robert, owner of Autocrafters in Manassas, Virgina, decided it would be best to do a rain gutter delete. After seeing his work and think after you see these pictures, you will agree. The initial welds are awesome, very little distortion, good penetration. Drum roll please.... And here are the pix.

Other body enhancements are Euro NB Turbo front and rear bumper skins (bumperette delete). Rear windshield wiper delete (no hole in glass) Wilton wool interior, leather covered dash, leather covered rear shelf, just to name some.

I am thinking of adding a roll bar, not a cage. Anybody have suggestions as to make/model?

As the body work progresses, I will post more pictures. I am very pleased with how this is coming out.

Looking very nice. It would be a good opportunity to delete your sunroof if this is your preference. The delete takes a reasonable amount of weight away from very high up. Fully understand of course if you like sunroofs.

You could bolt in a DAS bar, which look pretty clean.

To really to fit the character of the project maybe take it over to Mitch Piper?

Mr Block, the answer to what rollbar is the DAS bolt in bar that everyone uses, and I'm about to sell. Easy enough install. I plan on picking up a cage in about a week, and assuming that purchase from an Rlist member is completed, I'll put my Das rollbar up for sale and delivery. Email me should you be interested in communicating.

Great to see the car coming together. The rain gutter delete is a great idea. It looks like really good quality work.

I wish I had the foresight to have done the gutter delete when Rufus was in for various painting steps. I'm kicking myself weekly. Oh well, maybe at some future time. Your car will be great! Congrats.

I can't believe it's been almost a year and a half since the accident. Great to see the car progressing.

+1 on the DAS bar. It's the only way to go for a bar, IMO.

Is there any other reason to delete the gutter other then cosmetic reasons. Does anyone have any pics of the finished product after the deletion

Much quieter in the cabin at triple digit speeds and less drag, so theoretically the top speed increases.

I'm not sure about the drag and wind noise, but deleting the gutters is a very functional mod... where the function is to simply look bitchin'. Reduced drag is a bonus.
