Default eBay 1980 to 1996 conversion

Have you guys seen this? Read the description, twice!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1996-...QQcmdZViewItem

Not my cup of tea, but this guy spent a LONG time putting this posting together.

Why, oh, why? Man, that must have been expensive. It still has a funny stance.

That is an amazing conversion! The good thing about it - is that it will be no taxes bringing it in to Norway soon, and 200 usd insurance premium....hmmmm

A typical 993 runs me minimum 20 000 usd just in taxes to get it licensed - great country....

God that was a ton of work for what I would guess to be probably more $$ invested than the cost of a clean "real" 993......................ZP44

I would much rather get this nicely done conversion than this other "euro spec" 993 on ebay...

I can't relate to the desire of doing a conversion like this but credit needs to be given for such a great job. I bet this car gets bid to $30k+.

It is perfectly believeable that anyone who would write that sort of detailed description would also use "factory" bolts on the inner fenders

+1. Just buy a real 993TT and be done with it. In the end, you'll have a car that is worth more to more people.

BTW, what does the car weigh and how much horsepower is it putting out? I don't have 30 minutes to read the copy.

This car has been posted on ebay several times and still hasn't sold. I'm sure because I could never get past 10 pages of documentation.

Whilst it is something I would never dream of doing, I must say that it was very inspiring to see someone with so much conviction and enthusiasm to see a project to the end and ensure that it was done right.
