I though there was some live re-mapping on the dyno that needed to be done? Is there someone in the US that can do it?

For race car conversions like the 4.0 litre engine in my car the best option is to run Motec like I do, however for the 9m road car conversions yes, you will need to find a local shop that can remap a US specification Motronic.

Colin,
I will definetely be a customer of yours ( though I wouldn't mind the $$ gaining some value first). I have lent my copy of the 911 magazine that headlined your heads to the shop that maintains my '97 Carrera S. He is very interested in doing the conversion, and has some ideas on the remap as he has access to a dyno and a very skilled chip tuner/programmer. If you are interested contact Allen via his website:

He built the E30 BMW on his website for me. It's about done now and he keeps asking me when will we start playing with the 911.
Allen's Porsche mechanic (Jerry) maintains a RUF 911 and is very experienced.
