Go to any car sales site and you'll see that the 4S is generally priced higher than a comparable 2S. I referred to the price as a reflection of the desireability. However, the poll itself, is to gauge the choice of the population.

I think that both of us have learned a little here. I really thought that it was a clear cut decision for the 4S and you thought that it was a clear cut decision for the 2S. As it turns out, it really is about 50/50. That raises the question of why they only kept the widebody 4S for the later cars. (i.e no widebody 2S) Anybody venture an opinion on that?

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure I've seen a ~70K+ mile C2S for sale.

I'd appreciate it if you could point me towards any "normal" C4Ss that are in the mid 30s.

The C2s is a widebody.

I know the 993 C2S is a widebody; I'm referring to the newer 996s and 997s.

Uhhh - I do not think the 993 has a 'value' problem. This is the '911' that everybody lusts after and gazes at. My prediction is that this car will be to Porsche 911 what the 67' sting ray was (IS!!!) to the Corvette. Stunningly beautiful and widely sought after. Keep it & love it.

What is "normal"? I never said anything about normal, I just said high miles. Why should I have to point you in any direction when the original poster just said he had lost a C4S with 55K miles for 37K. In my book, 55K miles is not so high and 37K is close to being mid 30s.

And the 997 C2S is a wide body.

The 997 C4S is 72.91" vs the C2S of 71.18". The C2S might be wide, but not as wide as the C4S.

People change for the split ?? Uh, no.
If you had done some more homework on this subject you would find that you are sorely misinformed.

One sale of a C4S at $37K does not make for "..seeing more and more in the mid 30s." It's merely one isolated sale that could have been made for various reasons. I'm sure you'd agree that one sale of a C2S for $35K does not mean that the market for that car is in the tank.

That is why I wanted you to demonstrate where the "more and more" came from. Where else do you see this price?

10? Hard to say if I can on Rennlist, but suffice it to say that there certainly more than you think. Your "uh, no" comment led me to believe that you have not done your homework. Use the "search" feature for this and the 4S vs. 2S subject matter. It will enlighten you way beyond the three or four pages here. This has been debated many, many times before you started your two threads.
