Thank you for the welcome, Mark.
I think you're right about the year the C2S was introduced. However, according to "The Porsche 911 Evolution" (Models), http://www.idee.demon.nl, the C4S was introduced in 1995. Perhaps the author was in error or that introduction was just in Europe.
BTW, I'm not offering an opinion whether the "S" should be removed. Obviously, that's a matter of personal choice. My point was simply that, to my eye, the car appeared to have the external appearance of an "S."

Ron,
I was just going off what I read in Patrick Paternie's Porsche 911 Red Book. You might be right that it was introduced in 1995. I should have written that it was intro'd as a 1996 model.

The supercharger is sweet! I don't know anything more than what I've read on the TPC site, but she definitely has some serious giddy up! I haven't tracked her because she doesn't have a roll bar and PCA won't let me ride without one. I'm not really thrilled about paying $1,500 to have one installed when I'm worried it will ruin her good looks. Does anyone out there have pics of their cab with a roll bar installed?
Here is a pic of my cab with the rollbar installed. I used to track the cabrio years ago and I had a DAS roll bar installed. It does not interfere with the wind stop and too much with the seat travel. It looks good as well so cosmetically there are no downsides. The only down side is that it mounts on the floor behind the seats. So 3 bolts and a plate underneath for support need to be installed. The bolts should be bolted from under the car in order not to have anything sticking out... Finally extra car should be had when you install the passenger side as the batter cable runs on that side!!!
