Hi Rick, well i have been gone on vacation this week. Monday, before I took off I left a message at the dealership with some questions Steve W. wanted me to ask them after he reviewed the Hunter print out i sent him.
One was, what were the Kinematic toe measurements. well long story short and i appreciate the T-Rep's honesty he went back and asked the technicians that did the alignments about K-toe and i guess they both looked at each other with a dumbfounded look?? So iguess they forgot that part???
I emailed Steve back that reply and i dont think he could believe it and advises me to stay away.
The rep asked me to bring it back in and they would check K-toe out. if i understand it right that the K-toe is the first thing they should do and then perform the other tasks, so in reality they would have to do the whole thing over. I already have $320.00 and 6 hrs of waiting on it and 2 trips to the dealership. In hind sight i guess i should have posted my original question of this post before i went anywhere, but who would have thought??
My problem know is I running out of time, i have to run to Iraq for a short while. My options are to call them and see at this point that it shouldnt cost me a dime extra and give them there last shot at it with some recommended corrections from Steve or wait until i get back and take it to your guy and by the way i have not called him yet.

Faster: update on mine - it went back to the shop and they were able to dial exactly what I wanted for camber and toe all around. At first, they ran into the same problem so the tech disconnected the RR control arm, which seemed to be the cause of too much toe in that conrner, to check it for damage (none found) and when he put it back together, he was able to dial all the #s I was looking for. They still don't know what the problem was. I hope this doesn't confuse you more than help you. We're all still scratching our heads though I'm glad they finally dialed the #s I wanted it.

Cool Camber Plates....You have got to love them....

I have -3 degrees front and -2.5 degrees rear and my kinematic toe optimally set up...all work done by Jae Lee at Mirage International in San Diego...yea Jae! I just had the LSD rebuilt by Paul Guard, now with 4 clutches in contrast to the OEM original two (2).

Off to Laguna Seca to drive for 3 days....let's see how that LSD hooks up!!!

This is exciting to watch, but consider for us road drivers the following fact - the dealer says most of the 97 C2 cars (mayber other years also) came without camber adjustinment eccentrics at all. So we are stuck with what we have. Fortunately mine is at -0.5 degrees front camber, which is within spec and just where i want it for correct tire wear.

How did you guys get camber adjustment hardware on your cars?

good luck.
Sorry, can't let this one pass. I paid them $1-2K to put in motons, monoballs, and align. After two weeks I paid them in full for an incomplete job because they couldn't figure out how to get the alignment right. Paid someone else to finish the job correctly. Hear they're ok w/ older 911's though and they were pleasant enough.

Indeed, track settings....that is all I use the car for...although it is licensed for the street, and once a month I take it out for a little exercise, hopefully a track day. Some months, no track, so Baby* and me just take a cruise around the Central Coast of California, not too shabby!

* My baby with four (4) wheels, not to be confused with the other Baby that can fog a mirror!
