As a point of reference, I just paid $57K for a C2S Cab 6 speed with many, many options from original owner in Socal and it has 55K miles. It is pretty much a 9.5 to 10 throughout with excellent maintenance and history back to the factory where the owner picked it up. I think I paid a little over market - I think $55K would have been more like it, but I loved the car so much, I could not resist! I think on the west coast with your low miles you should be able to hit a similar number or higher.

Your car sounds great, but this is not a comparable car. You mentioned that your Cab is an "S" but they only made the "S" as a coupe - either 2S or 4S. Since his car is a true wide body 2S and the last year, right color, low miles, good upgrades - I even see big red brakes in the photo - and a CA car, the market value is north of $80K if it is a six speed with records (prob mid to high $80's even).

Yes it is a 6 speed. I am the 4th owner and I think I have all the records. Had car thoroughly checked out when I purchased it for $62k in 2010. Never been wrecked, never been repainted. Has a few chips in front end paint, else is in top condition (no leaks). I think the prior owners, like myself, never drove the car much. I've put 4k miles on it in 4 years.

Here is a link to a similar car (outside of it being a 1 owner car you could argue yours could be a notch above) that recently sold. The asking was $89K - not sure what it sold for.

ooops. My bad... the S was a typo. I was thinking about my 997 2S Coupe. You're right, not a comparable car.

I thought the mods were going to clamp down on this stuff. Sorry Carrera Greg, but what you're doing is against RL rules (as I understand they're being enforced lately).

It’s a garage queen in 9-10 condition throughout, with Bilstein PSS9 suspension, painted hardback sport seats, and new Michelin tires. I live on the Monterey Peninsula in California. Pricing thoughts?

Default 1996 Carerra Coupe

I got dinged for paying too much when I first bought this from other members, but now it seems like a decent deal as the prices have climbed even in the last 4 months. Still not quite to what I've spent given the suspension upgrade and bumper respray, but soon enough it looks like!

purchase price (in USD please): $49,999 (sales tax rate changes in CT at 50k)
purchase date: October 2014
mileage: 35,300
state or country where purchased: CT
Model year: 1996
C2 or C4: C2
Coupe, targa or cab: Coupe
color: guards red
tip or manual: Manual
NA or turbo: NA
any aftermarket accessories that came with the car: None
did the vehicle come with tool kit: yes
did the vehicle come with tire inflator kit: yes
your assessment of the vehicle history in terms of paperwork/receipts (1-10, 10 being highest): 10 all books records from day 1
your assessment of the interior quality (1-10, 10 being highest): 9.5
your assessment of the exterior quality (1-10, 10 being highest): 9.5
your assessment of the mechanical condition of the vehicle (1-10, 10 being highest): 10

Very basic options - single cd, 8 way power comfort left and right, sunroof.
Just changed out the suspension to Koni for ROW height and resprayed the rear bumper for 2 scratches. Paint meter shows driver side rear quarter panel resprayed since meter shows 6 vs 4.5 for rest of car. No Bondo. Photo taken before suspension upgrade.

IMHO, $90k is a reasonable asking price for this car. I recently purchased a similar mileage C2S w/o the hardbacks.

Beautiful car and GLWS!

The purpose of this thread is to report actual sales. Not to try to market your car.

Lets avoid speculation of what your car is worth. This thread was designed to help you by reading the sales reports.

Post a proper classified ad and sell it at the price you see on the listing of actual sales and what you can read from the various online marketplace listings.
