993 fender attachment ?
Well.....unfortunately the car received fairly significant damage over the weekend at a club track event.
I am weighing out the different approaches to repair. At least 2 fenders are toast......a 3rd questionable.
I would just a soon not post pics, I can barely look at them myself . The question......993 fenders are bolted on correct? (not welded)......TIA.

lots of bolts too, some hidden from plain view but you can get to them all without too much difficulty. Quarters are welded in. No easy solution there.

The quarter starts from behind the door to the rear bumper cover/engine deck lid. If you are seeking a used one for replacement, make sure you tell the salvage yard you want it cut high up between the back side glass and the rear window glass.

Dag-nammit. After my first Auto-X last weekend, I was getting pumped up to try a DE, but I was afraid of something like this. Now I am getting chicken again ! Sorry to hear about it.

Jeff -
Depending on the track, and the types / numbers of things to run into - IMO it is pretty unlikely you will have problems of this magnitude in your 1st Green Group DE weekend.
Instructors tend to keep the new Green Group drivers on fairly short leashes, as they should. If your instructor is good (most are) and the two of you work well together that makes things much easier.
Watch for the corner stations / flag conditions - you'll do fine and have a great time to boot.
Good luck and best wishes.

Howards right Jeff.
If you're inclined to do it.....you should.
And if you didn't feel a bit cautious, you wouldn't be normal.
If you find you enjoy it, then it can be incredibly rewarding.
Good luck to ya.
