Well, the engine harness recall was SUPPOSEDLY done but when you look at it you can tell it is the original, not to mention that the part number on the harness shows that it is one of the ones that needs to be replaced. I talked to the dealer today and called PCNA. PCNA is allegedly going to call me back. I will post more after I get all the facts. As far as the car, it still doesnt run right. There is definaetly something wrong where it isnt getting feul or air. The dealer did say that they replaced a harness recently that made the car do similar things like mine is. Anyway, if someone wants a 993 with a ton of new maintenance parts already done. Email me!!! Midnight blue/marble gray, 78k 6sp, turbo twist's etc.

Im saying that we havent found it yet. It is just going to take more diagnostic time as well as finding out about the harness from PCNA. right now, I think the engine harness is the old bad part numbered one (Pn 993 607 016 05) with a mfg date of 03 02 1995 but PCNA is saying that it has already been replaced. If anyone has any good links to 993 harness threads and part numbers etc I would love to see them. I did a search and came up dry.

Here is E.J.'s wiring harness page.
Anything you want to know about the wiring harness recall can be found there.

Thanks! I appreciate it. According to this, my current harness is one of the ones that should be repalced and Porsche said it has already been done....

You could check to see if you have the right part number.
Also, there are some extra connectors that are left lose on the engine bay if you had the recall done.
The harness is the same as the one used for 96 cars, but since the 95's don't have varioram, there are some connectors that are left over.

What's happening with the injectors? I thought you were getting them rebuilt?
