Default Back in a Porsche and WTB CD changer for CR-1

Hi All,
Well it's nice to be back in the Porsche world after a 2 year hiatus. I just bought a Polar Silver/ gray 1995 cab, 24K miles. It has a CR-1 radio (tape deck). I remember the same radio in my 94 964, but can't remember what I bought to make a CD changer for it. Anybody have a changer that would work that they'd like to sell? Thanks, Jeff
p.s. I've attached a couple pictures of the new toy. thanks for asking, Drew.

Jeff,

Keep your eye on ebay as they seem to show up often.

Congrats on the new car. Would love to see some pics when you can...

Default I'll be watching for a CD changer

Thanks Drew. I'll keep an eye on ebay for a changer. If anybody on the list has one for sale, please let me know. Jeff

I just sold one to another Rennlister.

Here is what you need:

1) PIE POR-ALP Porsche-to-Alpine Changer Adapter
http://www.pie.net/pie_store/shopdis...52&cat=Porsche

You can ussualy find them on eBay

2) Compatible Alpine CD Changers like Alpine models S600, S601, S611, S620, S630 and other M-Bus Alpine Changers. Look for these on ebay as they might be out of production.

I have a newish (2 years or so) Alpine M-BUS changer and the cable you need to hook it up to a CR1. I just took it out of my '95 last month when I replaced the head unit.

It lets you play 6 discs full of MP3s (and regular CDs) and control them with the CR1. PM me if you'd be interested. The changer was $300 new from Crutchfield; I'd be looking for about half of that for the changer and conversion cable.

PS - great looking car!

Default Thanks for your help, got what I need

I appreciate all the help. Cowtown will be shipping a cd changer and cable to me all for a reasonable price. It's good to be back on the list and monkeying around with Porsches again. Jeff
