Question DME - newbie question

OK - I am supposed to carry a spare. Where does it plug in (in case I have to do it myself) and what does it control? What stops when it breaks?
Thanks.

If you are wise, yes. Open the hood (front) at the base of the windshield there is a plastic cover, under there is a bank of relays. Major electrical circuits. Everything.

Best wishes

To be more specific, it controls power to the DME computer, oxygen sensor heaters, and fuel pump. The location of the relay in the "Central Electric" fuse panel on the LH side. The top of the relay will have DME printed on the top of it.

Hope this helps
