Smile Interior transformation + other mods

After all the topics on Rennlist about changing the interior I couldn't resist any more.
It started with just changing the steering wheel but it was like a chain reaction and before I really realised all the interior was swapped

So here is what I did:

- New steering wheel ( 340 mm, the feel of the car is completly different!)
- New seats ( Sparco REV seats with alu lightweight side mounts)
- Rear seat delete
- Stripped the car and installed a RS carpet kit
- Stripped the front trunk
- Rear wiper delete + new back window
- Bilstein HD + H&R springs set on RS height
- RS alignment + corner balanced
- Cat Bypass + motorsound mufflers

In my opinion this is as the car should be delivered from day 1!

I don't think I should explain how these mods changed the car.

Everything is better now, the car is really planted, drives like it is on rails, pulls much better, brakes better etc... even the consumption is less now

Enjoy the pictures!

Looks great! Did you remove the varioram on your car or did it not come with it? I was under the impression that all 96+ 993's were equipped with the varioram.

Hello Damien,

My car is a 95" with a 3.8 engine, I don't have a varioram and don't really miss it ;-).

Regards

Thanks very much for the shots..it give me another taste of the 340mm wheel. That wheels looks nice and fat, which one is it?

Split grill and Turbo bumper looks great too!

I used the simple "911" badge on the rear deck as well...I like the simplicity!

Nice job!

Cheers,

Mike

Looking good!

I'm most interested in the Sparco side mounts. Do you know if they are FIA-certified? Do they lower the seat more than stock?

Thanks for the kind words!

The steering wheel is from RAID, the type is Freeway 340mm with perforated leather.

The side mounts are FIA approved, you can find them on the official Sparco site. I mounted them on the original sliders and with a helmet I have 15cm left between me and the roof.
It's really unbelievable what a difference these mods do, it's like night and day!

Ciao

Where did you get the foot pedals from? I love the engraved "911" on them. Very very cool!

Looks great!

Like Mark, I'm really interested in those sliders. I've never seen anything like it, but it looks like a good solution for us when our seats are narrower than the standard 16" spacing that our cars are set up for.

How much lower did the Sparco mounts drop you down from stock? I understand that the seats with the stock mounts gave you 15cm of clearance with a helmet.

I think i gained 15cm compared with the stock seats.

With a few ajustments another gain of 5cm is possible.
