Thumbs up Transporting: Excellent experience with DeMoise Trucking

Some of you know that after several long months, I finally found my 993 (more on that later). Many of you were very helpful with my "drive vs. transport" decision. Thanks for that. After weighing in all of the factors, I decided to ship it. As a full-time Dad for the coming weeks, I felt bad about calling in several childcare favors "just so he can drive his new Porsche home." Not much empathy for such things, i expect.

I got three quotes from transporters all recommended here on RL, including the one that everyone seems to use. DeMoise came in almost 20% less. But as we know, price is hardly the most important factor with our cars. What sold me is Bill DeMoise himself. He was extremely responsive and accessible for calls and email. I found it very comforting to be able to pick up the phone and speak directly with the owner of the company. He took plenty to time to explain not just the move, but also helpful tips on buying out of state. I felt very comfortable and in good hands. Not only does he do logistical transport for PCNA, he's a 911 owner and I think his daughter has a 944!

Driver Rich Synon was friendly, courteous and professional. He was always reachable via cell phone. All the time milestones were met on time or early.

Right there with you, Jeff: Done (1) and halfway done (2) As soon as I sent this, I knew I forgot to disclaim the Engine Tray and the SUV ride height.

Rich Synon picked up and delivered three of our 4 cars to Palm Desert for us. Matter of fact he kept the cars on his truck for an extra two days just so Robert to fly to town to take delivery of them (thankfully Rich lived near by). We were very happy with both Bill and Rich and would not only use them again but recommend them to others.

I too had a great experience with Bill DeMoise and found his price to be very fair. I'm glad to hear that others have had positive experiences and think he deserves consideration if you need transport.

I used Demoise to ship my Factory 1975 2002 Bmw Turbo from North Carolina to Calif. His driver went 5 hours out of his way to pick it up within days.I agree with everything you have said about Demoise. The only reason I didn't use them to ship my C2S from Florida is that he couldn't pick it up for 2 weeks.I just couldn't wait that long to get my new car.

I also used Demoise to ship two of my cars from CA to TX. The driver also waited for me to take delivery and they provided excellent communication and service. I'd use them again too.

I too used DeMoise to ship a car from CA to MD. They were always in touch and actually delivered the car early.
