Well, I'm in process of doing my 60K. Oil/filters change and tranny fluid change went well. However, as I was getting ready to do the plugs on the right hand side a part fell out. It came out as I removed the shroud, snorkel tube and clutch ventilation tube. Unfortunately, the part is tweaked right on the last few digits of the model number. I can make out most of the first few digits which seem to be: 993-113-25xxxxxx.
Here are a couple of pics. And it looks like it originally may not have had the big hole in the middle, or at least not as big as it's a bit blown-out/rotted. Any ideas?
I'm gonna guess check valve... 993 113 250 03 - Well, at least half of it that broke off when rotted/rusted. Do I get extra credit if I guess it before the pics go up?
Allright! Just went out to check the SAI valve to see what was in store for me and the thing is like new. All bright and shiny. I guess the piece that fell out must've been a remnant from the old one when it was replaced by the previous owner. After wrestling w/ the 60K the last day and a half, that just made my night. :-)
