Default Seat issue

Just purchased a 97 C2S.

4-way sport seat power functions don't work. I swapped the fuse with the working passenger side and it was good.
edit: figured it out, the plug under the seat was disconnected.

Other than this minor issue I love it. I am going to start in on the preventive maintenance now, it has records showing most things have been done, but I don’t trust the dealers to do things right...

1) Before swapping the switches make sure the seat is plugged in... there's a plug under the seat that is (relatively) easy to get to... well, at least if the seat is at it's highest point. It's easiest to see from the back, if the seat is at its most forward position. Since the power is not working, you might have to go the contortionists route to get a good view.

2) Don't know. Others might.

That sure is a pretty car you've got there! Also, be very careful with the seat mounting bolts if you take the seat out, they strip out very easily.

The leather for the top of the sport seats is wrapped around the outside edge of the seat and held in place by little metal clips. On my seats the leather would hold on fine without the clips ; your bolster foam might be getting soft/worn so it does not fill up behind the leather and help to keep it taut. I have not seen the leather come off this way before ; do you have other shots of the seat from the front, side, etc?

Cheers,

Mike
