Default Tipping the Transporter Driver?

Oh, guardians of good taste and culture, do you guys think this is expected?

I'm trying to think of other $1,000 to $2,000 services where this might apply. What's the protocol?

Good question! I've got Intercity coming in a few days, and was thinking about the same thing...

I transported two cars from CA to TX (one is my 993TT). I gave the driver $100 on the pick up leg and $80 on the delivery. The service they provided was exceptional from the first phone call to the delivery...

You didn't miss anything, I just haven't said anything until now... Yes, the C4S is on it's way out from Denver. Greg (troppo) and I came to an agreement, and I am having Intercity transport it here. My business is turning in a positive direction, now, and the most important part, my wife, is pushing me to get it!

I still hate the fact I backed out in the first place & couldn't drive it out here, but that's miles saved for another month...

I tipped an IC driver recently for lugging/stowing a set of sport seats along with a recent delivery...
He was extremely appreciative, and professional.

Great service, and incredible rigs...

I gave an extra $100 because he delivered one morning earlier.

EDIT: I used Goldrush Motorsports and I cannot recommend them. Nothing major. Car was coming from Miami to Houston and it arrived exactly 1 month later. An acquaintance set up the deal since I had no experience or knowledge.
