Default Atiwe steering wheel Group Buy - POST YOUR INSTAL PICS

From previous posts there is clearly some interest about these wheels....

Have spoken to Gert about this.

He can do discount pricing on the standard Atiwe 340mm Daytona with either leather/alum/cf.

Re. the custom leather rim & airbag model pictured on his website, with available deviated stitching, there is not much discount available, although I assume that would be based on numbers.

If you are interested in any of the 340mm wheels, please post/pm me and I will put something together. Pricing is pending number of orders.

I would be interested if the pricing is within reason.

340 mm is a bit small from the stock 385 mm any chance 360 mm wheels would be part of the buy?

Doug - grey leather would be a custom color order which will be minimally discounted (see Gert's website).

Anthony - 360mm wheels are available, please specify style (look through FVD's website).

I will simply compile all requests and submit the list to Gert - then I'll PM everyone pricing/availability and you can follow through with Gert directly. We'll obviously need a certain amount of committment to meet whatever numbers Gert agrees to...

I will leave this group buy open for 2 weeks.

Thanks.

i have been looking into a 3 spoke wheel for some time.
I have gotten prices from FVD and Raid on various models. Shipping and VAT killed the pricing.
I believe FVD offered a PCA discount of 5%.. Better then nothing.
I'd be interested in this GB as well, just need to determine what size now.
I didn't realize stock was 380mm. I wanted 340, but now that may be too small.

I would be interested in a 360mm Black leather (no deviated stitching version).

The link to the dollar conversion wouldn't work for me. What does the three spoke with the airbag come out to?

Peter - yes, they are the same wheel. Atiwe is the manufacturer, and these wheels are sold under various retail brands including 'raid'. FVD's website is useful to look at all the potential models. Gert's site just has a picture of the full leather 340mm Daytona model.

Carmen - most people seem to go with 340mm. This will cover some of your gauges in certain positions, but it's a nice size. IMO, the 380mm stock wheel is a little big. I don't know if stepping down by 2cm in overall diameter is going to make a huge difference, but your call.

Pong - they will fit 996s, so I would imagine that the Cayman would be fine. Check FVDs website for hub options. FYI, looking at some of the RUF steering wheels, it's clear that they are manufactured by Atiwe.

Current list price (at today's exchange) for the full leather wheel & airbag with deviated stitching is $1193 usd + adapter hub $146. This of course is cheaper than the Porsche 3-spoke CPZ (thicker rim) wheel & airbag....

I have the 380 mm Atiwe wheel in my turbo. It is 5mm smaller than the stock 964 wheel.

What I did notice is although the wheel is almost identical in size, having the 3 spokes vs 4, places your hands at 9 and 3 o'clock the stock wheel has your hands sitting at 10 and 2 which is not as comfortable.

I will say after living with the wheel for 2 years I like the perforated leather but a smaller 360 mm all leather wheel would be perfect size.

I did a quick measurement and basically 15", 14", 13" respectively 380mm, 360mm, 340mm. I wanted to see what the difference would be and a 360 may not be much of a difference.

On the FVD site a Daytona GT 340mm (FVD 347 003) is $1002 w/ PCA discount (5%). Daytona GT 340 w/ leather A/B (FVD 347 003 P) is $1198 w/ PCA discount. Leather Hub is $174 discounted.
I am curious how much shipping would be from Gert vs FVD.
