I'll get myself one then 500 Euro's isn't too bad, adapter included.

I would be interested in the 340mm black wheel.

I did a search for the wheel and I came upon this previous group buy. The pricing for the all leather 340mm wheel was $785.70 direct from FVD.

OEM 996 wheel or aftermarket? Any thoughts on this?

yeah - i would be interested, but at the right price.... i like Gert/Carnewal a lot and i know that he is a long time Rennlist sponsor... however, consider where we are starting from....and that is that FVD was doing a group buy on this exact steering wheel at $785.... If this group buy gets down in that range, i will buy one, just need to figure out 360mm vs. 340mm

An OEM 996 full leather steering wheel w/ leather AB w/ silver crest went for $1075 + shipping on ebay.
I like the 340 or 360 Daytona, full leather version, with hub w/ be ~ $925 + shipping....
I like the look of aftermarket, but like the idea of no hub w/ OEM.

I would be interested in the all leather air bag model without the deviated stitching. Does anyone have pictures of installed wheels to see the difference between the 340 and 360?

Hmmm, I am confused as usual. Gert posted some 340mm wheels which are the Silberfeil, Freeway and Daytona. Are these the GB wheels? Are the prices on the site the same as the GB? These wheels are what I would call a reasonable price (spending over a $1000 on a wheel in my mind is nuts). Do I just deal directly with Gert?

Cheers,

Mike

Jonathan,

You've seen the SW on the left in my car and I just discovered that the little oval emblem that says FVD or RAID comes off without leaving any marks.

The only differences that I can tell from the pics are the perforated leather (more expensive) and deviated stiching on the right SW.

wow... i like the perforation...dont really care for the deviated stitching.... cant believe that those two things make the wheel 995 vs 395 Euros
