IMO, it looks like the painted (black) aluminum hub is the way to go.
Cobalt: Please check with Gert re. your order, he doesn't have a "Daytona GT" model - although looking at FVD's website, that is the same thing as "Daytona" on Gert's site.

P044 Daytona black 340mm, alu horn buttons Raid part nr 070139 : 415 Euro
P036 Leather 340mm custom made, deviating stitching : 795 Euro

Steering wheel hub for 964, alu painted in black : 80 Euro
Steering wheel hub for 993, 986, 996, alu painted in black : 70 Euro

I don’t have a price from Raid for their hubs already covered in leather .
It certainly will be more expensive than their painted ones and with a 6 week lead time.
Steering wheel hub for 993, 986, 996, custom covered in black leather : 210 Euro

Shipping for a steering wheel and hub to the US or Canada is 48 Euro
Shipping for 2 is 66 Euro
Please contact Gert to complete your purchases: info@carnewal.com
He has the GB list with your rennlist IDs.
I note (from AC) that FVD has leather hubs, but the price is $186 USD for 993.

Approximately $30 is the amount you will be billed by Fed Ex for the steering wheel.

From Gert_
" When buying from a country outside the US, there are no local taxes to pay, but instead the US Government charges the US import duty as a compensation. For car parts, this is between 2.5% and 3% of the value + $5 handling fee. This import duty is charged by the shipping company. (Fedex)
Fedex handles the necessary paperwork to import the goods into the USA .
About 3 weeks after you received the goods, Fedex will charge you the import duty and they transfer it to US Customs. "

I am working on it but its part of a larger order which I am getting together. I hope I am not holding anyone up.

Cheers,

Mike

From Gert:

The steering wheel hub for 993/996/986 in black leather is 140 Euro.

The steering wheels and the painted hub are usually in stock but the hubs in leather take 6 weeks to get.

So, pricing is in line with FVD on the leather hubs. IMO, the lead time and price differential isn't worth it - I'm going with painted black aluminum.

Let's get this list finished off....

I agree. My turbo is without a steering wheel now. I pulled the 380mm version of the same wheel I had and installed it on my C2. So whatever needs to move this along would help with the delivery.
