Default question regarding mashaw turbo s wing

I recieved my turbo s rear wing from mashaw. I realized that it came with a wired grille intead of the louvers that goes under the grille. Did you guys used this wired grill (like chickenwire)? or did you use your factory louvers instead? does it fit. Im trying to install this on my c4s. what are my alternatives? thanks

I haven't put chicken wire or anything as yet to stop leaves, small animals..etc.

Steve was able to use his louvers from his OEM tail under it.

The uderlouvers do fit the MA Shaw tail. You can buy that part from a Porsche dealer (like Sunset) for around $300. Or.... use the mesh.

I have the Ma Shaw S wing too. Funny thing is .. I think the expanded wire mesh that is in the bag that comes with this kit is for the the small wing vents. This mesh was not intended to replace the louvers IMHO.

I installed the grill and louvers in the wing. I had to rout 3 small rectangular slots to accept the grill. Also drilled a couple holes to accept the thru studs on the grill. Not a big deal, just a little detail. I have heard that some people glue the assembly, don't think that is advisable.

By the way the fit is good and I would give this piece a solid 9.5 out of 10 for fit and finish. Don't think I have ever bought a better piece of aftermarket glass. Having said that.. the factory part is a 10 + ... there are no waves or dips to be smoothed and the reflections are perfect on my original turbo wing.
