I think you can get Gemballa from FVD. I got a quote from them last year.

How come these http://www.rh-wheels.com/index.cfm?P...84680&VID=1046 are something like half the cost of the others?

Why not consider real RS speedlines from Porsche? Weren't there a few threads within the last couple of weeks stating they are still to be had? IIRC, they weren't that much more from Sunset versus the RHs' current pricing... But I could very well be wrong.

Either way, damn fine lookin' wheels! Wish I had a set for my 968.

I have a set of 3.6 Turbo Speedline and 993 RS Speedline wheels available. They are currently disassembled and in process for restoration. Because I have spare parts I can make custom sized wheels with parts I have or can get to make that very special set for a very special car.

They are 1 piece, don't have a polished lip, the offset are slightly off, and they don't come in 11 inches for the rear. However, they would work.

No, your right... and I am looking into this option.

Jim Dorociak. above, can even make a custom set for me, but for $800 or so more than the RHs. However, I could purchase RS Speedlines for about $4K. For some reason, to my eye, the RHs look
slightly better - something about that lip on the rear 11" wheel that gets me. However, the re-sale on the speedlines would be better and they are OEM.

Tough call.

New Rs Speedlines delivered to your door were well north of that back in the fall

I shudder to think what they are now

So couple grand vs. $4+? What am I missing in comparing the two wheels?

here is a picture of a 11.5 993 RS wheel that is mocked up to show possibilities. Also a 8.5" front could be part of the package. Jim

I need to work with someone when making these custom sizes to make sure everything fits. I feel very comfortable with a 11" wheel, and if we can find a willing participant local to me, we could test fit a 11.5" wheel, or pick a slightly smaller sized outer rear hoop.

I have the Rh 3.6's on my '95 NB. love the look and had no trouble with them bending. Just don't hit potholes at 70 MPH. Seriously, watch your driving and you will be fine. I'm having my car lowered a bit with PSS10's next week. I'll shoot some after pictures once the PSS10's are installed. In the meantime check out the wheels. Yes, I know it is at SUV height - that's being addressed. And yes, on one of the pictures you can see that I didn't have my passenger door closed all the way. On a side note, I took second place at the concours event that day!

So I guess not a good track/street wheel given the talk of bending.

What about the 1 piece version?

And why is 1 piece so much cheaper than 3 piece?

I soooo wish 11.5 would fit under my fenders...those mockups look great (as do the SUV 993 above)

Sorry, I too was at SUV height once.
