Pocher is the manufacturer... Watch this auction of you think $265 is expensive. The last silver one available to the US market went to someone for $750! Normally they go for $500 to $600.

I like it and don't really care if it's $600.00............You what they say, " The difference between men & boys is the price of their toys"

It is said the 993 is the worst model Pocher made. Doesn't seem to deter RL folks though !!

I would second that and I have two kits! However, there are a raft of "detail" kits available now so that you can really improve on the basic offering. The German kits are all black ones that go for a lot less, especially of the they are coming out of Germany - typically these guys don't want to sell out of Germany and also will not use Paypal as they can do bank transfers very cheaply (EU law for Euro users).

If you think this is nuts, I guess you haven't seen what people are paying for Distler 356 models!

Damn I put a $550.00 bid in so I wouldn't spend more than $600.00 OTD but got edged by a $597.00 bid!

Guess I'll have to wait for another complete one to show up!.............ZP44

Bad luck Zombie,

Sometimes these are like buses so another one might show up soon. I bought two in the space of about ten days. When you do find one make sure you have proper insurance and that it is packed properly if they no longer have the original box. When one of mine got damaged the insurance (German post) didn't pay up due to some loophole plus the sender had to apply rather than the buyer which is obviously awkward. I was going to sell it but have since decided that I'll build it anyway, possibly as a race car. The reason they are prone to damage is that the body shell sits in the top of the box and if the box is dropped on its head (in my case pushed over a 6ft gate by some lazy delivery guy) all that weight lands on the bodyshell and snaps the "A" pillars. Fortunately, in my case, they are nice clean breaks.

Good luck with your search.

Cheers,

David
