Fire extinguisher mount question

Mount questions
I am planning some track this season and have a few thoughts:
1. Is mounting to a DAS bar an alternative? Any photos of what this looks like?
2. If I end up going with a seat mounted bracket, will the same mount fit standard power seats AND manual race buckets if I decide to go that route at a later date?
CHeerS~!

Nice. I always liked the red interior with white exterior.
I am installing the gT3 seats and Das sport bar on my C2. I was told for club events they won't accept the extinguisher unless it is in easy access from the drivers seat. Is your extinguisher easily accessible where it is mounted?

Anthony brings up a good point, belted into place, you should be able to reach your fire bottle. Even mounted in front of the pass seat, its tough to reach.

I finally installed the Stable Energies mount and Amerex Halotron extinguisher. The mount is very well made, matches the satin black of the seat structure and keeps the extinguisher tucked up against the seat. As usual, I needed to change things, so I used stainless cap-head bolts and stainless nyloc nuts...

I like the Stable mount!
In my old M3, I had a harness bar, & mounted the bracket right in between the seats. This way, in a harness I can reach & pull it out. For you that have not been in a 5pt harness, you can't reach it on the floor.

I want the mount that is in the new GT3. It is tucked way back on the drivers seat. Funny you brought this topic up Andreas because I was thinking about this today but don't like how far Tony's sticks out in the passenger footwell.

No harness here, but I also have monkey arms.

BK & Stable are the only 2 I've seen. I had the BK and switched to mount it on my DAS bar. As far as reaching it...I defy anyone to reach anything if you are bolted into a 5 or 6 point harness. I can reach the shifter and the steering wheel and that is it. I had a couple of peeps raise eyebrows at the location on the DAS bar, but everyone agreed in fire they'd be running away too. Once I'm unbuckled, with the quick release it is just as accessible as in the footwell (almost). The footwell would still require harness release, so I figure same same...
FWIW, I bought a couple of rollbar mounts from Stable and mounted the BK quick release to those. That works pretty slick and it isn't going anywhere, straight line or upsidedown.

Here's the final mounting. I removed a portion of the Amerex mount that typically holds the fire extinguisher when it's wall mounted. This allowed me to rotate the fire extinguisher and move it closer to the tunnel.
