Is beer involved?
How in the hell do you think you buy the votes! (Did Mother T ever say "hell"???).

Now, if you can name the correct beers....you are a shoe-in!

Absolutely - braking early helps improve my spins to grins ratio.

Are you from Chicago?
Thanks; I am really glad I started this on a weekend; billable time would really slow down if not (wait, slow is good, no?).

So, in an attempt to construct a really witty response to this comment, I Google for Names of Beers and come up with http://www.realbeer.com/library/beer...ak20020523.php

This guy is starting to show some promise...maybe I was a little early on thar "Ringer" comment. I can see that he was a little " slow" on keeping up with us on this thread, but he is improving...I don't know if that is a good thing, but maybe it is.

I think I understand that? Did Frankie write it for you?
If you can get me to Jackson Hole...I'd be more than happy to clean 'em Big T....between ski runs of course...

I have obviously been spending way too much time on the G-R forum...I am not sure I understand it now...soooo
...I ran it through the now infamous GR translator and got the following:

"Do you make us accept so that you would be really careful? It means that you know is or would not like to know the limitations with your car…, but there is then and this dashboard explains you, as goes and your pistons in the limitations, OBJECTIVE `thing puter… The release disturbance #2 holds. Thus, you could not be as careful, as we think that… consequently you could be consequently true good."

Rick, if a lack of spinning is your problem, I can give your bumper a nudge the next time I'm behind you.

Umm, Mark I think I'll take a pass on that offer.
BTW, HCR Watkins Glen Advanced-only opened up today. You going?
My application and check are already to go.
(are HWFMR team members by definition banned from these events?)

Hey Rick,

I have no plans to. I'm doing Potomac's Summit Point DE next Wednesday, the snow willing, and the club races at Road Atlanta at the end of March, Watkins Glen in June and Summit in October. I'm sure I'll do a DE here and there but can't commit to much more due to not knowing how work will go. I'd like to do Potomac's DE at the Glen.

I met Rick at VIR I think a few years ago when he still had his red car (Carrera, right?). A very nice guy, and not a particularly fast drover. Word has it that with 80 more HP he still runs at the same pace. Sounds like a good candidate to me. Like him, I'll be at the VIR Zone 2 event if you want me to check him out. The decision can wait till after then. In true HWFM fashion, whats the hurry?

I see you have already selected a brand, arrogant bastard.

I am beginning to see the merits of this application...(but again..I am just the snot nosed newbie)....I think an appropriate hazing would be to have Rick 'act' as chief defender and apologist for GR....for about...ohh...say a week???

Dave, I'd hate for you to travel all that way from the 'Burg. You only have to go a third of the way. The race car is at Midwest Eurosport in Chicago.

Sounds like Rick has a lot of billable hours to rack up this week. So we'll save him further suspense.

You suggested Driver and Risk Managment Consultant for your team function.

But I did like Dave M's suggestion of Risk Adversion Consultant.

Since you excelled in the application process, you get to choose.

Welcome to the team Rick!

(Please be sure the beer is really cold when you show up in the Turtle Pond.)
