I would seriously consider it if it was for sale in California.
No time to travel...

Glad some of you found interest in the car...never thought I would see a 993 in the samba classifieds. I hope someone gets it...that is a pretty hard price to resist.

That is ridiculously cheap at our exchange rate! Could make a fantastic basis for a project car or a really cheap 993. I have never seen anything come up at that price over here. Usually at that price they are sitting in a salvage yard with a smacked-in side!

Cheers,

David

If you can beat me to it (2 hours away) .......COME ON

JK, if it was a little closer, I'd go look at it for you. May have a home addition in the near future or a different home purchase all together so now is not the right time for me. But thats a steal!!!!

You never can discount how expensive it is to repair these cars. What may sound "cheap" or well bought, can become a money pit. So it is really a balance, not necessarily a great deal, imo.

I believe we've had this worth discussion before, but unless there is multiple major catastrophic issues after the purchase, even a used motor at 6k puts this car at early 20K.....where do you find a reasonable looking car for that money?

John, am I out of line to ask you how much you ultimately received for the car when you recently sold it?
Thanks

I don't think I should say. Anyway, without looking thru my stuff at home, I couldn't tell you. Maybe a search might reveal the info. I am not sure if I posted the info or not.

Hi John--no worries about the sale price.

One last question: what was the accident history? Is the car straight? Thanks!
Maybe I'll give your "old baby" a new home.

And to my other Rlist friends: Does anyone live near enough to take a look for me? Perhaps a quick look at the car would help offset the seller's troubling reports here.

Thanks to all. Marc

The car had been hit in the driver's side. There was either rust or putty bubbling up under the rear quarter glass. The car had been painted all over. THe rear bumper cover had a tear near the exhaust tip where the PO hooked a driveway or something. On the upside, it has all records from day one until I got it at 185000.

Thanks John
I chickened out this morning. 5 cars in the driveway is just my limit (that's like a drunk saying that 2 six packs is his limit 'cause he's driving, right?)
