Cheap high miles 993

No affiliation, kickbacks, etc. Just saw the car when I was surfing www.thesamba.com for bus parts and figured I would post it here just in case someone was looking for a cheap 993. The ad doesn't say the mileage, but I think it is probably over 200K+.

The same seller has other cars for sale, anyone had experience with this seller, bad or good? I'm helping my brother look for a 911 on a limited budget and had stumbled across this one as well.

The name Geoff Wattiker has popped up on Rennlist before and so has this car. Thats who selling that car. Google his name, look on a few other forums, make your own decision.

The guy selling it now used John H's exact same classified. Probably bought it, driving it for a few months, flipping it. Who knows.

yep that was my car. He bought it with the intent to rebuild the motor into a 3.8. Like a month after he bought it he called me and said he bought another 993 that had a 3.8 already off ebay. I remember seeing it as it was like a gumball rally car or something. Anyway, that is what he told me. Young guy but came through as he said he would.

John H, now that you don't own the car, what can you say about its condition. What should someone considering buying this car expect to replace in the near future? What didn't work?
Thanks,

Honestly, I don't think there was anything "wrong" with the car. I disclosed the issues in the ad but most if not all were cosmetic type things. The car ran great, used very, very little oil. Clutch was good and it shifted fine if you took your time. I think it needed tires but the current owner bought two new rears. The sunroof was an issue. I have no idea what it needed to work properly. It retracted unevenly. I never used it anyway. Other than that, I don''t think there was any known issues. The only reason I sold it is my two kids were just getting too big and active in sports and it was just a PITA as an only car to carry all the stuff around (baseball/football/basketball/cheerleading stuff with the spectator/coaching stuff too). I bought a three row seat Envoy to haul them, their equipment and friends/cousins around. I seriously thought about buying it back but then decided to be a "mature" or "responsible" dad.
